Novel Coronavirus, otherwise known as COVID-19, is causing life as we know it to become extremely altered. Not only have schools have shifted to online learning but churches are unable to meet together for corporate worship services. Bay City Baptist is no exception.
Late last week our pastoral staff made the difficult decision to not meet together for corporate worship. They worked quickly to come up with a plan to live stream our services. So many new restrictions have been ordered since then that it is no longer a choice to not meet. While it is uncertain, it appears that this will be the new normal for a while.
Part of this new normal is meeting together online for our worship services. We have a YouTube channel that will be our platform until we can worship together in person. You can find our channel either by searching Bay City Baptist (look for the orange circle with the B) or by simply clicking here. Be sure to subscribe to the channel as well!
We encourage you to invite those that may not have the ability to watch the live streamed services to your home, of course keeping the number below ten people. We also encourage you to pray for and keep in contact with your church family. God designed us to be social beings and some of our church family may not be faring well with being in quarantine.
Information will continue to be provided via our Weekly Updates, Notes from the Pastor, and Facebook. COVID-19 may take us out of the church building but it won’t stop us from being the church!
