The Juniors and Seniors from Bay City Christian School are enjoying their class trip to Washington, D.C. this week. They departed from Green Bay at 4:30 Monday morning and haven’t stopped since! In years past the group stayed in hotel rooms but this year they are trying out an Airbnb. Imagine 15 people walking down the street pulling their luggage. What a sight that must have been!
Their schedule is jammed pack as they see Ford’s Theater and go on the Lincoln Assassination tour, visit the Holocaust Museum, Newseum, the Smithsonian and the Museum of the Bible. They will go to Arlington National Cemetery, the Supreme Court, Library of Congress and take a tour of the US Capitol. A Capitals vs Hurricanes hockey game will even be enjoyed.
This trip is an amazing opportunity for the students to learn about our country, make memories as well as have some time to bond outside of the walls of the school. Plans are already underway for the next trip in 2021!
